We are thrilled to be back for another night with our community to celebrate all of the accomplishments of RSA and the Foundation and to help raise funds for our new programs!
An online silent auction will be running throughout the evening with prizes generously donated by our supporters, and can be bid on by all attending and those at home!
This year we are raising funds to support our expansion of the Home Hub and Gather & Grounds to a new location in Richmond, serving Northern Macomb County!
Home Hub Program: This program focuses on vocational training in diverse fields, from culinary arts in our commercial bakery and food processing plant to retail operations and customer service. Home Hub is designed to equip participants with practical skills and real-world experience, boosting their employability and independence. A key element of this program is our collaborations with local businesses to offer our consumers real-world job experience. This work with local job site partners not only enhances the practical skills of our participants but also fosters a sense of community integration and belonging.
Gather & Grounds: Serving as both a coffee shop and a social hub, Gather & Grounds offers barista and customer service training in a bustling, real-life environment. It goes beyond vocational training, acting as a community space for social events, wellness activities, and personal growth, enriching the social and emotional lives of our participants. The space is designed to make adults with disabilities feel comfortable, welcome, and integrated with their communities. Evening program is geared toward wellness and in support of healthy life choices.
The proposed expansion into Northern Macomb County is driven by a clear need for accessible, inclusive spaces and opportunities for adults with disabilities in this region.
We need to raise funds to cover the major capital expenses we have planned to renovate the building and purchase initial equipment and vehicles, as well as provide funding for our first year of operating expenses.
We hope you can join us for another beautiful night under the stars! Our student showcase will be an opportunity to witness the incredible work the RSA students have been doing all year, and the dinner will be a decadent event with some of Detroit’s finest chefs.
