The Pasadena Police Foundation is hosting its annual breakfast virtually with Pasadena’s Chief of Police, John E. Perez at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020.
The event is intended to give residents, members of the business and non-profit community, and friends an opportunity to hear about the current goals and accomplishments of the Pasadena Police Department (PPD). The Police Foundation’s Annual Breakfast is also an opportunity to see first-hand how the Foundation fulfills its mission to support the planning, development, and implementation of programs and activities of the Department and vital programs such as, the Kids Safety Academy, the Junior Public Safety Academy, the Explorer Program, the Police K-9 Unit and resources to enhance community safety.
This year COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the education of local youth. This year with the switch to online learning many local students are being left behind and will be more likely to drop out of school and not continue their education. Chief Perez has made it a focus of the department to work to make sure that the local Pasadena students are able to continue to participate in their classes and progress in their education. This year's virtual breakfast will raise funds to aid in this effort.
