Finding all the letters in BLANTONS is a rare feat.  Winning this includes a stand to display the toppers for your bar or desk as well.  This will be auctioned off in a fun and unique auction where anyone can win. Believe it or not, up until just a few years ago, it was relatively easy to buy a bottle of Blanton’s any time of the year. Fast forward to today, and you wouldn’t be faulted for thinking Blanton’s is the hardest bourbon to find in America. With each bottle adorned with a topper that displays an individual letter and a horse in a different race position. A bouquet of honey, vanilla, light bubble gum, and orange citrus peel opens things up. Lying gently beneath are hints of barrel char and toasted sugars that tussle with floral notes. Light cinnamon and baking spices top things off. The scents are nuanced and inviting, creating a satisfying opening to open the sip. he palate hits with an initial sweetness, housing notable flavors of light caramel, honey, muted vanilla, and brown sugar. Underlying the opening flavors are leather, charred oak, and a rye spice, which bubbles to the top. A crisp finish rounds out the sip with vanilla, caramel, leather, dry oak, rye spice, and light peppercorn. There’s a pleasing sweet heat that lingers once all the other flavors fade. https://www.breakingbourbon.com/review/blantons-original-single-barrel-bourbon-2021

Named after Master Distiller Emeritus Elmer T. Lee, this whiskey is hand selected and bottled to the taste and standards which were set forth by  Elmer T. Lee himself.  Perfectly balanced and rich, as declared by the man who knew how great bourbon should taste. The nose brings notes of clove, vanilla, and old leather. The flavor balances fruit, honey and vanilla with a light spiciness. A long and warm finish. “An elegant, complex whiskey. The flavors are nice and tight.” –Whisky Advocate

A reasonably priced, but hard to find bottle.  A great bottle and an opportunity to experience the Weller collection. The brand is named after William Larue Weller, a distiller who is credited by some as being the first to use wheat as the secondary grain in straight bourbon as opposed to the more commonly used rye.

Arguably the premier bottle at the event.  Hard to find and delicious. "This 13-year breaks the mold, as it is one of the oldest rye whiskeys available today. The maturity it has achieved while aging is quite obvious when you take the first sip. It’s a truly unique and rewarding rye whiskey experience." -Paul Pacult A soft nose of chestnuts, spice, vanilla and fruit. Features flavors of cocoa, vanilla, spice, and white pepper. A long, warm and complex finish with caramel and spice combined with dry oak.

A hard to find and sought after bottle. This year marks a special milestone as it is the 20t anniversary of the partnership between the Van Winkle family and Buffalo Trace Distillery.  Trusting Buffalo Trace to continue the family legacy started more than 125 years prior.  The Van Winkle line of whiskeys have won a multitude of awards through the years, including the 20-year-old receiving a double gold medal, best bourbon, best small batch bourbon at the 2018 New York International Spirits Competition and the 15-year-old taking home a Gold Medal at the 2019 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.  Nose: Very sweet, with notes of honey, dulce de leche, caramel. Taste: Medium-bodied palate with dried fruit and nuts. Each sip finishes with a very long bold wave of floral honey, caramel, and toasted barrel flavors which counter the weight of the alcohol. Finish: An elegant balance between oak, grain, and maturation. https://www.breakingbourbon.com/bourbon-whiskey-press-releases/buffalo-trace-distillery-announces-annual-van-winkle-bourbon-release

"This is an incredible whiskey I am not soon to forget. Brent Elliott and the Four Roses team hit an absolute home run with this blend in my opinion. Comparing it head to head with the 2021 release, I definitely prefer the 2022 release personally. This years blend managed to take what was an already amazing whiskey and crank up the volume without getting too messy. Both batches have exceptional qualities that whiskey enthusiasts near and far can enjoy. I know I am going to be going back for more of this soon. Let me know if you agree with the 2021 vs 2022 comparisons down in the comments. Cheers!" -Amongst The Whiskey

"The world’s first single barrel bourbon was created in 1984 by Elmer T. Lee. Named after former distillery president Colonel Albert B. Blanton. Elmer recalled how Colonel Blanton would sometimes handpick a ‘honey barrel’ from the center of Warehouse H to enjoy with others.  Many years later, the Blanton’s brand was created. Today, Blanton’s Single Barrel has become one of the most revered and award-winning bourbons on the market.  The Gold Edition was the second version created, after the Original 93 proof.  This 103 proof Blanton’s Gold is very limited, but a favorite among discerning bourbon aficionados."

Generously Donated By Paul Steadman Not available for purchase in the U.S. Nikka From The Barrel is a blended whisky which was released in 1985. The development of this expression started with an aim to deliver full flavors and richness of whisky like "from the barrel", which only blenders can sniff and taste. The secret behind its gorgeous flavor is the unique combination of complex blending, higher ABV 51.4% and "marriage" process. The iconic square bottle reflects its concept "a small block of whisky" and embodies the intense and rich flavors of the whisky inside. Long after its launch, this bottle is still timeless and recognized for its ultimate simplicity.

Ichiros Malt and Grain does everything I want and rarely find in a whisky: its on the sweeter side but in a way that’s not overpowering allowing for a range of earthy and spicy flavors while taking the drinker on a journey between distinct yet subtle waves of flavors. rnrnI highly recommend this Ichiros Malt and Grain, specifically for a sipping when you’re in the mood to contemplate the dram before you."
