Sant La's annual fundraiser means even more this year as we are commemorating our 20th anniversary.
In December 2000, a group a visionaries, our founding board members, birthed the organization which has evolved as one of the most respected institutions in Miami Dade County. Today, 20 years later, we celebrate this milestone during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nonetheless, it has allowed us to look back onto the community with much gratitude and has driven us to be ever more grounded in our commitment to strengthen, empower and uplift our beloved community. We are proud of our accomplishments, and look forward, with great excitement, to innovative solutions in this age in which we are compelled to be more technologically adept.
Join us in celebration on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 7 p.m. EST.
The event will be a live virtual celebration featuring entertainment, special guests, awards and our signature Haitian Marketplace silent auction of one-of-a-kind items.
Event proceeds benefit Sant La’s programs and services, the pillars for self-sufficiency and successful integration of Haitian immigrants in South Florida. We serve over 11,000 clients through tax preparation, financial coaching, job placement, health insurance and public benefits enrollment, parenting and counseling services, youth enrichment, citizenship preparation, leadership development, civic engagement, scholarship support and referrals to specialized programs. In this pandemic year we are spearheading a special initiative, “An Pale Tech” (Let's Talk Tech), a digital tools crash course that will train our clients on the current virtual communications tools in an effort to bridge the technology gap which prevents many in our community from accessing online resources and opportunities.
