Like blossoms, we are all in a constant state of becoming. The Donkey Mill Art Center’s 17th Annual Art Auction, Bloom, celebrates and highlights the critical role of the arts as a catalyst for exploration, growth, self-discovery, and wellness. This highly anticipated exhibition and fundraiser offers the opportunity to experience and collect an unparalleled selection of artworks from emerging and established artists from Hawai‘i and beyond. Proceeds benefit the Mill’s historic facility and essential arts programs that continue to make a tremendous impact within our community.

- Artwork on View: February 3 - March 2. Open Hours: Wednesday - Saturday from 10:00am - 6:00pm. This exhibit is free and open to the public.
- Online Silent Auction Opens: Saturday, February 10 at 10:00am
- Online Silent Auction Closes: Saturday, March 2 at 8:00pm

Silent Auction
Saturday, February 10 at 10:00am HST - Saturday, March 2 at 8:00pm HST
Our silent auction will open on Saturday, February 10 at 10:00am. Participation in our silent auction is open to anyone. It is free to register, with a suggested donation of $25. Registration with a payment method is required in order to bid. You will only be charged if you win an item at the close of the auction on Saturday, March 2 at 8:00pm. Buy it Now bids will also not be charged until the close of the auction.
Live Auction
Saturday, March 2
This will be a night to remember! Hosted by Emcee Mallibu Del Rey and Auction Chair John Roth, join us at the Mill for craft cocktails, heavy pūpū, accompanied by lively entertainment and the thrill of the bid. All auction proceeds benefit the Donkey Mill Art Center. Our live auction event will be held at the Donkey Mill on Saturday, March 2, 5:00 - 8:00pm. Space is limited, so this year's live auction event is by invitation only.
There will be no online bidding available on Live Auction artworks. However, Proxy Bidding is available, so, if you are unable to attend the Live Auction event on March 2, but you'd like to bid on an artwork, please contact us to register for proxy bidding. A pre-assigned person will bid on your behalf only on your selected pieces up to your pre-set maximum bid.
Check-Out, Pick Up and Shipping
- Winning bidders will not be charged until after the close of auction on Saturday, March 2, 8pm when winners are determined.
- Winning bidders are responsible for additional costs that incude applicable taxes and shipping fees.*
- Tax will be charged on art purchases (HI GET 4.712%) at or below fair market value of the artwork
- Any portion of art purchases paid over fair market value is a tax deductible donation and is not taxed. Donation acknowledgement will be sent to you for your records where applicable.
- No artwork can be taken home early nor on the evening of the live auction event. All artwork including Buy it Now pieces will remain in the care of the Donkey MIll Art Center until it is safely packed and readied for pick-up or shipping the following week. Winning bidders can choose to either pick up their item(s) OR have item(s) shipped for an additional fee.*
- Pick up will be at the Mill between Wed March - Sat March 9 (10a-6pm)
- For those having items shipped, a Donkey Mill staff member will contact you after the auction to confirm your shipping details and options (typically we ship through USPS or FEDEX).
*Please note that we are unable to provide shipping quotes in advance of bidding, so please make sure to consider potential added shipping costs before you bid.
