I hereby agree to volunteer at the 7th Annual Juneteenth Black Arts Festival (“the Event”) in Pittsboro, NC, organized by Community Organizing for Racial Equity (CORE) on Saturday, June 15th.
In consideration of being permitted to participate in this event, I hereby waive, release, and discharge any and all claims for damages for personal injury, death, or property damage which I may have, or which may hereafter accrue to me, as a result of my participation in the Event, including any work performed before and/or after the event date.
- I understand and acknowledge that participating in the Event may involve certain risks, including but not limited to physical exertion and exposure to elements, accidents, illness, or injuries, and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation.
- I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, and all other persons involved in the Event from any and all liabilities or claims made by other individuals or entities as a result of my actions during the Event.
- I understand that this waiver is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the state of North Carolina and agree that if any portion is held invalid, the remainder of the waiver will continue in full legal force and effect.
- I hereby consent to receive medical treatment which may be deemed advisable in the event of injury, accident, or illness during the Event.
- I understand that this agreement is binding upon myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, and that I have carefully read and fully understand its contents.
Photo Release:
I hereby grant permission to Community Organizing for Racial Equity (CORE) to use photographs or videos taken of me during the Event for promotional purposes, including but not limited to advertising, marketing, and social media.
*If I have any children under the age of 18 participating with me in this event, this signed waiver is good for all of us.*
