WAIVER - 5K Fun Run for the Future Workforce with Ladders for Leaders on Sunday, January 29th, 2023
In consideration of you accepting this entry, I, the participant, intending to be legally bound, hereby waive or release any and all right and claims for damages or injuries that I may have against the Ladders for Leaders virtual 5K Event Director and Coordinating team and board, and all of their agents assisting with the event, sponsors and their representatives and employees for any and all injuries to me or my personal property.
This release includes all injuries and/or damages suffered by me before, during or after the event. I recognize, intend and understand that this release is binding on my heirs, executors, administrators, or assignees.
I also authorize the use of photographs, web posts or videos that include my image for promotional, informational, or other reasons for the event and for use by the Ladders for Leaders Organization.
I certify as a material condition to my being permitted to participate in this race that I am physically fit and sufficiently trained for the completion of this event and I had the opportunity to have my physical condition verified by a licensed Medical Doctor before attending this event. By purchasing the ticket for this event, I acknowledge (or a parent or adult guardian for all children under 18 years) having read and agreed to the waiver and all of the terms above and below:
1. AGREEMENT TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS. I agree to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings in the location that I choose to participate in this event.
2. ASSUMPTION OF THE RISKS AND RELEASE. I recognize that there are certain inherent risks associated with the above-described activity and I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and (if applicable) others in my care including family members, friends, and minors and further release and discharge this organization for injury, loss or damages arising out of my or my family's participation in this event, whether caused by the fault of myself, the organization, or other third parties.
3. FEES. I agree to pay for any and all damages caused by any negligent, reckless, or willful actions by me or others in my care including minors.
4. REFUND POLICY. I understand that there will be no refunds for any reason, including but not limited to inclement weather, cancellations, no shows or illness. This event may not be rescheduled for any reason.
5. MEDICAL ASSISTANCE. I hereby give my consent to hold harmless and indemnify each and all parties herein referred to above and release them from all liability, loss, cost, claim or damage whatsoever, including death or damage to property, which may be imposed because of any defect in or lack of such capacity to so act or caused or alleged to be caused in whole or in part by any possible negligence on their part.
I have read the waiver and understand that (I) we have given up substantial rights by accepting this release. In purchasing the ticket(s) for this event I have agreed to all above statements.
