The BACC Annual Silent Auction supports the BACC annual spring scholarships awards and programming and resources that help Small Business and Main Street Retailers develop and prosper. Funds are used to produce events that result in dollars spent in the Barrington Area. Our Silent Auction also funds our Lauren Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund, named after a former BACC employee, Lauren Brown, who died at the young age of 29 from ovarian cancer. Each year in her honor we award thousands of dollars in scholarship monies to local students attending universities, community college, trade school and certification programs, as careers are built in many ways. Over 100 new members join BACC annually to expand their spheres of influence, build their connections in the community, and promote their products and services. BACC has nearly 800 members including large and small employers, main street retailers, professionals and more. BACC creates programming and offers resources that unify, market and promote local business. We are the go-to resource for local business referrals. Our website processes thousands of targeted searches for local resources each year. Our office staff fields thousands of inquiries annually for local business and community information. And, our printed directories are important community resources delivered to every mailbox in the Barrington area.
Bidding on our Silent Auction is open to everyone. All items and bidding is online. The Auction will close on Friday, January 27 at 1:00 p.m. Bid winners can pick up their winnings at the BACC office the following week. You will be notified if you have won your item. If your item is a gift certificate or gift cards, those items can be mailed to you. Gift baskets, alcohol and other physical items must be picked up at the BACC office, 190 E. James St. - Tuesday - Thursday from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can also call BACC at (847) 381-2525 to make specific arrangements.
